A Updated Version of NTT Comware's Agency Staff Management System Released Under the New Temporary Workers Law
Staffia, A Temporary Worker's Contract/Working Hours Management Service

NTT Comware Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Shinobu Umino; below, NTT Comware) releases the updated version of Staffia, a cloud-type temporary workers' contract/working hours management service on October 18, 2012 (thu). The new version of the service is for enhancement of corporate compliance policies for temporary staff management and efficiency of work under the new Temporary Workers Law*.


1.Overview
Staffia is a total solution for agencies and companies to have temporary workers to facilitate various tasks related to dispatching staff including contract paperwork, work hours management and invoicing of staff fees.

  1. Staffia is a platform to manage temporary staff contracts, alert or confirm the invoices and alert/store various documents required under the new laws for smooth operations and efficiencies of works between agencies and their clients.
  2. Staffia allows companies to employ agency staff to register templates to cover requirements for making temporary staff services contracts or sample formats of work descriptions of temporary workers under the laws and regulations. Therefore, the templates and contracts can be shared by all departments concerned for consistencies and corporate compliance.
  3. The system has an alert function to control the number of overtime working hours or holiday works of temporary workers under "36 Employer-Employee Agreement" for an appropriate management of overtime works and labor management under the agreement.
  4. The cloud-type system minimizes the initial cost and risk to use a new system.
2.Features
  1. Compliance Management under New Temporary Workers Law enacted October 1, 2012 (mon) Staffia was updated to cope with the revision of "26 Categories Specified Under Ordinance" to clarify job categories to be exempted from "prohibition of one-day temporary staff dispatching" as one of the major issues for the revised law. The jobs categorized as exceptions are clearly specified to make contracts. There is also an alert function to show a temporary worker to be dispatched falls under the categories or not, "the designated temporary worker is hired with indefinite term or not" for enhancement of corporate compliance of the corporate users.
  2. Quality Services and Experiences The system has been used by approximately 500 companies including agencies and their clients, mainly NTT group companies, and proven its efficiencies.

4.Future Scenario
The simple version of Staffia will be available from January 2013 for easy start of the system for temporary staff agencies, with less process for the initial settings.


* The Temporary Workers Law was revised to "the Law Pertaining to Proper Operation of Temporary Staff Dispatching Business and Protection of Temporary Workers" under "the Law to Revise Temporary Workers Law for Part of the Law Pertaining to Proper Operation of Temporary Staff Dispatching Business and Maintenance of Employment Conditions of Temporary Workers" enacted October 1, 2012.
