NTT COMWARE CORPORATION and BMC Software conclude contract for Website monitoring service
NTT COMWARE CORPORATION
BMC Software, Inc.
NTT COMWARE CORPORATION (President: Yuji Matsuo, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) and BMC Software, Inc. ("BMC", President: Masanori Sawabe, Head Office: Shinjuku-ku Tokyo) have concluded a partnership contract for Website monitoring services. Targeting customers in Japan, NTT COMWARE CORPORATION will launch a monitoring service in March, using BMC's SiteAngel Website monitoring tool.

Installed outside of a firewall as a service for Internet users, SiteAngel monitors and reports performance and availability of corporate Websites. SiteAngel, hosted at the NTT COMWARE CORPORATION data center, will simulate actual performance at constant intervals, and produce evaluative graphs and reports on responsiveness and availability.
An effective Website is a cornerstone of corporate IT strategy, and 24-hour Website monitoring requires significant human and financial resources. Manual management simply cannot handle the ever-increasing number and functional complexity of sites. A system that observes and evaluates Website availability and reliability from users' perspective will improve customer satisfaction and provide a key to the success of e-business.
NTT COMWARE CORPORATION has actively developed outstanding, integrated IT solutions. This include consulting and outsourcing services based on experience and expertise developed in the support of core telecommunication business fields, such as development, maintenance, and operation of advanced telecommunication systems in Japan and networking environments. Now, in order to strengthen and reposition monitoring services as a core competence, NTT COMWARE CORPORATION reviewed quality of service, operationality, global deployment, security monitoring service deployment, and SI business deployment. This resulted in the decision to adopt BMC's SiteAngel and launch a new service for e-commerce service providers running mission-critical Websites.
BMC, the leading supplier of site management software, has launched site management tools such as PATROL, an application management solution for distributed environments. With the deployment of SiteAngel in the Japanese market, BMC signed a business partnership contract with NTT COMWARE CORPORATION, based on a strong evaluation of NTT COMWARE CORPORATION's experience in operating a highly-reliable data center. Other factors positively evaluated were the extensive experience in offering customers sophisticated technology, supporting capacity though maintenance services, billing, and help desk operations. The unique position of NTT Group, which was formerly a government owned entity, was another reason for BMC's decision.
With this partnership, both companies are committed to cooperatively providing high-speed, low-risk and high-reliability services for enhancing performance and availability on mission-critical Websites by leveraging their advanced technologies, proven support capacity, and reputation for superb service-level management (SLM).
NTT COMWARE CORPORATION will establish a SiteAngel service center in the NTT COMWARE CORPORATION data center complex.
