3. Background on the Establishment of the Subsidiary
NTT COMWARE CORPORATION set up a Business Form Division when it was established in 1997 and provided financial institutions, the NTT Group, and the other communications common carriers with services involving the issuance of bills including printing, insertion and sealing, and delivery with the advantage of discounted postal rates.
However, the dissemination and evolution of information technologies, data formats and content have diversified to include electronic billing and the creation of customer-oriented information services derived from data mining technologies.
Therefore, the role of billing operations will be elevated from the mere handling of bills to a brand new means of communication, and it is expected to make further progress. To provide billing solutions required for the 21st Century, NTT COMWARE CORPORATION separated out its Business Form Division and established a subsidiary, NTT COMWARE BGSOL.
