L-BOX has the outlet functions for broadband, Internet, mobile, ADSL, etc. that can be used anywhere including homes, home offices and businesses. It can also be utilized as home gateway or set-top box.

[Present Condition]
As the use of high-speed, large capacity Internet services such as ADSL and CATV spreads rapidly, the number of broadband connection users is increasing for home and business. This trend is expected to continue. In the near future, not only PC but also TV, video and other electric appliances will be used as the information terminals connected to the Internet.
[Overview of L-BOX]
L-BOX can be used as a gateway and set-top box by connecting and integrating LAN terminal of "multiple information terminals" and by interfacing with Internet.
It transmits image information to the cellular phone's monitor at home. The image information can be that of a visitor in front of the intercom attached to a camera.
It enables the information terminal switches to turn on and off by using cellular phones. Illegal access to home PC is becoming a significant social problem. However, L-BOX has a firewall function to protect the information terminals such as PCs which is integrated to L-BOX. Furthermore, its low power consumption design make it possible to generate less heat so that it can be left on all the time. Its compact size (Height: 119mm X Width: 67mm X Depth: 98mm) allows it to be set up anywhere.
L-BOX system's configuration is based on Linux. By utilizing Linux whose basic software is available to the public, basic functions of OS such as tuning and software development are easy to operate and cost less. It can be also customized and expanded based on the user's own environment.

L-BOX is loaded with 3 functions.
- Home Information Appliances / Terminal Control Function
The buttons and key operations of cellular terminals can be remotely controlled and can easily control home information appliances and terminals by voice and sound. For example, it can remotely confirm whether the power is turned off or you can turn the power switch can be turned on and off away from home.
- Flexibly Expandable Functions Depending on the Environment
Wireless LAN and mobile environment can be easily accessed by simply inserting PC Card or Mobile Card to L-BOX slot. It is compatible with IPv6 and any next-generation Internet service.
- Firewall/Zone Control Function
Prevent illegal access from outside of the network and also provides for a more efficient information environment by effectively processing large volumes of information.
As the information home appliance usage becomes more widespread, the building of the LAN system for the home is getting easier. L-BOX is contributing to create a highly informed society and it is expanding the possibilities for home workers and business people. Control of production line, opening and closing of locks, temperature, etc. by linking various sensors and L-BOX control functions can be done remotely.
