Demonstration of crisis management, "Employee Safety Information System", demanded of companies

NTT COMWARE CORPORATION (hereinafter NTT COMWARE, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Yuji Matsuo) will participate in the "NET&COM2002" (Sponsor: NIKKEI BUSINESS PUBLICATIONS, INC.), to be held at Makuhari Messe (the Nippon Convention Center) in Chiba, Japan from February 6 (Wednesday) , 2001 - 8 (Friday) , 2001, and will introduce by exhibit and demonstration, from the crisis management solution "Big IT. Protection" the "Employee Safety Information System", which allows speedy confirmation regarding safety information of employees during emergencies.


The employee safety information system allows the company Manager, by using telephones or Web browsers, to confirm in units of "departments" or "individuals" information such as "yes / no injuries" and "if coming in to the office is possible" from information registered by the employees using mobile telephones and following the voice guidance, in such emergencies as disasters. The company Manager will collect the registered information and display on the Web browser such information as "the number of employees with injuries", "the number of employees without injuries", "the number of employees that can come in to work", and "the number of employees unable to come in to work." For unregistered employees, the Manager will be able to contact the mobile telephone or home telephone number, registered in the system beforehand, the registered information or the Manager will also be able to transmit assembly messages to predetermined locations as well. At NTT COMWARE, an actual demonstration experiment of this system was carried out with its 9,000 employees in June of last year, after which the system has been put to practical use.

At the "NET&COM2002" NTT COMWARE booth, it will be possible to actually register information such as injuries using mobile telephones and to see how such registered employee information is collected on a computer screen. Also, a demonstration of various message transmittances will be conducted. Furthermore, with the cooperation and participation of SP NETWORK CORPORATION (hereinafter SPN, Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President: Yousuke Watabe), the leading company in corporate crisis management, a "Crisis Management Consulting" corner will be set up and a "Crisis Management Level Check of Your Company", which will allow you to understand the crisis management level of your company, will be conducted on stage. On the 8th, a seminar and talk discussion titled, "Crisis Management Demanded of Companies - Risk Management Discussed by a Crisis Management Expert and an IT Expert", will be held.
