Operation Efficiency and Customer Satisfaction of CATV Businesses Realized
Sales of "Cable TV Management Support System" Launched


NTT COMWARE CORPORATION (hereinafter NTT COMWARE, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Yuji Matsuo) will launch sales of the "Cable TV Management Support System", a system that will simultaneously realize operation efficiency and customer satisfaction enhancement as well as supporting business judgments, as of June 12th. The system will be targeted to cable television (hereinafter CATV) business, which will see an increase in customers with the service upgrading and expanding of Internet and IP telephones.


The "Cable TV Management Support System" connects various data, such as "customer information", "electromagnetic radiation information", "housing maps", "main line maps", "construction information", "household equipment information", and "fee billing information", using the "work flow" function and thus realizing total management. With the connection of data, visualization of customer location on housing maps, confirmation of cable laying routes on maps that are essential in opening constructions, and awareness of construction progresses becomes possible and such information may be shared by the relating sections thus making conscientious response to customers possible. Also, simple charge settings of "set discounts" in cases of multiple service usage, customer management as well as target area management of electromagnetic radiation households, and conjunctions with contact centers becomes possible. Furthermore, extraction of basic information regarding capital investment plans of main line extension construction becomes possible thus supporting business judgments.


With the start of digital broadcasting and such high speed internet service businesses as ADSL and FITH, the customer procurement competition between businesses that will go beyond communication and network industries, is following a single path of intensification.
