NTT COMWARE Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Yuji Matsuo, hereinafter: NTT COMWARE) will open a "Capability Center"(*1) on the 1st floor of the Head Office (Shinagawa Twin Annex Building Minato-ku, Tokyo) on the 25th of October. At the center, we will analyze customers' demands and give them advice on solutions on the spot, which combines personnel matters and salaries to deal with personnel reforms necessary due to the changes of companies' management environment.

[Overview of Capability Center]
"Capability Center" is where NTT COMWARE gives customers advice by using "HUMANIX"(*2) ,solutions combining personnel affairs and salaries to provide and construct the most suitable system for customers. "WALK-IN advising" is its main core to build the best solutions by offering advice based on customers' demands, and provide a trial solution and analyze the trial solution based on suggestions from the customer. We have many kinds of servers to confirm how a solution works on a server a company requires. Also, we have "a presentation room" to demonstrate solutions for each business area based on the past introduction experiences, and "a training room" for users for companies which had already introduced to learn how to use terminals, customize their solution, and construct, maintain, and manage system environment.

HUMANEX ,which is a solution for personnel matters and salaries suggested by NTT COMWARE, helps customers tackle "Human Capital Management" from three points of views of human resources, organization, and business such as (1)controlling and managing ability ,(2)evaluation and salary system based on results, (3)organizing flexibility and speed, and(4)making jobs efficient. It can analyze employeesf aptitude, skill, and career from various angles, grasp ability correctly, and support decisions on pay by proper evaluation and establish a policy for education and training programs. Linking calculation of salary, with working hours, and management function and benefit programs, it can supply an environment to help employees display their motivation and ability to the fullest.
Based on Web by utilizing global standard ERP packaged software, it can construct a highly general-purpose system in a short time and at a low-cost.
[Main Introduction Result of HUMANEX]
"HUMANEX" has already been introduced into some manufacturers as individual SI and into 108 NTT group companies as "eHuman.Hearts" which is a service system shared by users developed by NTT BUSINESS ASSOCIE Co. and NTT COMWARE. This service system is now utilized by 200 thousand users. As it took only 7 months from launch to introduction, it cost only one-third as much as a regular system.
[Background]
With management environment changing at a high speed, it is difficult to expect long term predominance in competition of company's business strategy. When the use of IT is applied, it is also necessary to utilize human resources for competitions in order to make business efficient. Because in many Japanese companies, there are still thoughts of the seniority system and life-time employment, employees have long term career intentions and employers hope for a performance-based system.
