VoIP solution "NEXIPT" to be exhibited at the NET&COM2003
- Business communication innovation with VoIP -

The NTT COMWARE CORPORATION (hereinafter, NTT COMWARE, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Yuji Matsuo) will be exhibiting at the "NET&COM 2003", to be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba from February 5th (Wednesday) through the 7th (Friday), and will be introducing its VoIP solution series, "NEXIPT (a coined term from NEXT and IP)", which promotes improvement in business efficiency.

The exhibition concept of NTT COMWARE is "VoIP for Business". (1) The Softswitch "SS70V" which operates functions such as the "unified message" which forwards messages recorded during absences to designated mail addresses, and "portability" which makes it possible to set your telephone number in all of the IP telephones connected to the inter-company LAN. (2) A contact center solution that can be expanded in line with the expansion of your businesses to accommodate up to 10,000 agent seats. (3) Apart from demonstrations, presentations, and trial corners introducing VoIP solution group products, which improves business efficiency and also customer service, such as the VoIP accommodating video conference system that allows conference data and white board sharing with desk computers Mini-seminars introducing the leading trend in VoIP will also be conducted.

In order to be able to utilize VoIP services it is generally necessary to install transmission devices such as IP-PBX in the company and thereby incur installation costs. Consequently, by utilizing telecommunication carriers that provide network services such as "IP Centrex (*1) service" and/or "VoIP contact centers", it is possible to take advantage of the VoIP benefits such as transmission cost reductions and increasing the business value-added while cutting back on installation costs. Such utilization models will also be introduced.

Up until now, NTT COMWARE has supported the VoIP services of telecommunication carriers with its high technological skills and superior know-how. It is now using those achievements to make VoIP a common part of company networks and is conducting further market developments. The VoIP is most commonly known for its role as a "transmission cost cutter". At the NTT COMWARE booth you will find answers to questions such as apart from cost cutbacks "what type of merits are there for businesses?" and "how can it be applied to businesses?"

"NEXIPT" is made up of the "Business user solution", the "Contact center solution", and the "Carrier solution".

The "Visual conference" trial corner. In actual office usage scenes, teleconferencing where data is shared can be envisioned. At this corner it is possible to play a simple game using the functions for data sharing.

[Seminar]

Introductions of leading trends on VoIP will be carried out in demonstrations and seminars by VoIP venders showing with achievements in the US and also by NTTCOMWARE employees.

[Introduction of products to be exhibited]

SS70V (Class5 Softswitch )
Not only are basic Class5 Softswitch functions such as IP Centrex services like "call rejection", "call forwarding", and "caller number display" achieved, but high level function services such as voice mail, desktop portal, and conference calls are also realized. Furthermore, this Softswitch meets the specifications of Firewall, NAT, and DHCP, which are all said to be problems facing VoIP.

Visual conference

Video conferencing environments where not only voice (VoIP, public network, PBX) are traded, but images and data as well, will be constructed. Also, with the conference control function, settings and access control of conference environments can be conducted.

UNI-GW
A VoIP product that accommodates the needs of companies that wish to make a transition to IP networks sequentially while effectively utilizing conventional public network resources.

Calling charge management system

Contact center solution
A virtual contact center where it is possible to connect satellite contact centers in remote areas with the same IP network has been established with the contact center solution that has integrated the customer channel (telephone, fax, Web, mail, etc.) into the IP network. As it is not necessary to construct exclusive devices at each point, it is possible to install contact centers at low costs and very quickly.

Scalable IP contact center solution
