VoIP Solution SS70V for FOMA/Wireless LAN Dual-Network Handset N902iL
- For Expansion of Mobile Centrex -
NTT Comware Corporation (below, NTT Comware; Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuhji Imai)
has added a new solution to Business Communication SS70V, the IP Telephony System of the VoIP
Solutions Series NEXIPT with the FOMA/Wireless LAN Dual-Network Handset"N902iL". Sales of the
handset will be launched by NTT DoCoMo, Inc. (below, NTT DoCoMo). This system will expand the area
of Mobile Centrex to meet the increasing needs of business organizations.

[Background]
NTT Comwarefs SS70V is available to use with N900iL, the Business FOMA/ Wireless LAN Dual-Network
Handset (sales started in November 2004), the current model of "N902iL".
SS70V provides Mobile Centrex solution to enable calls made with both IP telephones on the wireless LAN in the office as
well as FOMA as a mobile phone. This allows customers not only to save the cost for communication
but also for convenience as customers can take their business telephones with them. The needs for
this service are increasing. NTT Comware and NTT DoCoMo as the business partner are jointly working
on the solutions including the interoperability tests using the test handset last summer.
[About Business Communication SS70V ]
NTT Comware's Business Communication SS70V adaptable to N902iL is an integrated communications
system including various communication functions for business purposes such as videophone,
chatting, voice mail, e-mail and others with the IP Telephone system. Since its sales start early
2002, the service has been utilized for over 85,400 lines within Japan.
[Future Development]
NTT DoCoMo's FOMA/ Wireless LAN dual terminal N902iL will provide various new functions such as
enhanced wireless LAN and "Osaifu-Keitai" other than being used as a powerful mobile tool in
business. Mobile Centrex is also effective to improve customer satisfaction (or customer service?)
as well as to make an open office. NTT Comware aims to see more demands from enterprise users for
Mobile Centrex and increase the share of SS70V Mobile Solution in the growing market of IP
telephony in the future. The service will be available at the same as the sales start of N902iL.
