NTT Comware Corporation (below, NTT Comware; Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuhji Imai) will launch sales of the upgrade version of PHISHCUT for Windows Vista on June 11, 2007. Its anti-phishing solution utilizes the digital watermarking technology (*1).

[Background of Windows Vista Version]
PHISHCUT was only used for Windows 2000 and XP for OS and Internet Explorer 6 for browsers. However, a new version of anti-phishing solution was needed by financial institutions who are in consideration to use PHISHCUT to cope with various PC environments of customers due to the increased number of Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 7 users.
NTT Comware will provide an upgraded anti-phishing solution to meet the needs of financial institutions and various PC users.
For browsers, PHISHCUT has been available for Internet Explorer 7.
[Outline of PHISHCUT]
PHISHCUT is the anti-phishing solution, which is a system which embeds digital watermarks into the websites used by financial institutions as well as internet banking and shopping websites. This is to prevent personal information (e.g. login ID, password) of users from being sending to a phishing website as well as for its detection and reporting of the results of authentication to users. This upgraded version improved its visibility by showing the authentication results in colors of the tool bar and the dialogue.
NTT Comware's ASP system is applied to the website for downloading the authentication system and its dedicated software, which is easy to install and no initial cost is required. Users only install the software to use the system since the dedicated software is automatically activated for authentication.
[Future Scenario]
PHISHCUT has been used by four (4) Japanese banks because of its simplicity in introduction and superior operability. NTT Comware has set a target of sales 100 million for the fiscal year of 2007, mainly for financial institutions, local government offices and shopping websites.
