NTT Comware Signed the Sales Agency Agreement with TOBESOFT Japan
--Company-Wide Promotion for IT Solutions with XPLATFORM, TOBESOFT Japan
NTT Comware Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Michio Sugimoto; below, NTT Comware) signed the sales agency agreement with TOBESOFT Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Young-Hyun Kim, below, TOBESOFT), the Japanese subsidiary of TOBESOFT, Korea, on June 5, 2012. TOBESOFT is the No.1 vendor for the area of RIA (Rich Internet Applications) (*1) in Korea. NTT Comware prospects to make a company-wide promotion of new enterprise solutions using XPLATFORM, a RIA development tool of TOBESOFT Japan and its product, aiming to achieve orders worth of 2 billion yen in the next three years.
Background of Contract Award
With a recent sharp increase of shipment of smart phones and tablet terminals, there is a need of developers in the field of Web applications to achieve more compatibility to multi-version OSs and browsers. After a six-month evaluation for various development tools in performance including operability, performance and quality, NTT Comware decided to employ XPLATFORM and signed a sales agency contract with TOBESOFT, since the product is identified to be an effective tool for systems development for the following reasons; (1) its characteristics of integrity of development environment of more than one projects that individually designed and cost-efficiency, (2) operability of general functions required for corporate systems (*2) and smart phone-specific functions regardless of types or versions of operating systems and browsers and (3) stability in operation proven by a series of loading tests with a massive data traffic.Features of XPLATFORM
XPLATFORM is a system development product to integrate various Web applications separately developed for different OSs and browsers into a Web application to support various operating systems (Android, iOS, Windows, Mac OS) development projects. The product meets the needs for corporate users to solve their issues to design enterprise systems applicable to various OS/browsers, versions, terminals (e.g. PC, smart phones, tablet terminals, smart TV, sensor) with one source, as well as other needs to improve operability of enterprise systems.
*1: RIA is a Web application with high expressiveness, functions and operability. This is not only advantageous in design aspects, but also enable users to easily use applications by a smooth transition of screens and drag-and-drop functions. One of the major reasons for corporate users to use the product is its intuitive operation for higher efficiency of work.
*2: It refers to portal functions commonly used in offices (e.g. calendars for individuals and favorite information), SNS functions (e.g. commenting, keyword searching), Voice Memo functions, Account Management, server connection, and data encryption.
