NTT Comware Launches Sales of AdminITy Ver4.5, the Client Terminal Management Software
-- Renewal of product lines and increase of links for AdminITy DETECT Series --
NTT Comware Corporation (below, NTT Comware; Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuhji Imai) launches the sales of the client terminal management software AdminITy (*1) Ver4.5 on August 7, 2007. Ver4.5 increases the link with NetSkateKoban (*3), one of AdminITy DETECT (*2) Series in the AdminITy products lineup, in addition to collection and tracing of PC logs as interlinked with InfoTrace (*4) Ver1.6. In terms of the link with NetSkateKoban, the PC network shutdown function against unauthorized access under the specified Security Policy (*5) (below, policy) was further improved.

In order to improve endpoint (each network terminal) security, each client PC should conform to company security policies and it is essential to have an "integrated security platform" for real time measures against company policy violations.
While "AdminITy" was effective for an advanced security operations to address security policy violations as well as to perform a network shutdown of PC that keep violating the security policies by interlinking with NetSkateKoban, there was an increasing need for companies to enhance the policy check function and perform an effective PC log collection and search based on the integrated security platform.

Security Upgrade with NetSkateKoban.
+ Network shutdown performance upgrade against PC violating security policies.
The network shutdown performance is further improved to enable an automatic shutdown of PC in case of unauthorized deletion of AdminITy from PC or violation of security policies. A highly secured network environment is maintained because a network reconnection requires an approval of management through Web Console (the application-specific menu).
+ Visualization of operation flow support on Web Console. The Web Console allows users and managers to perform an application/approval of networking of new PCs and cancellation of shutdown after the network environment is secured to meet the security policies. The graphical user interface based on the general application/approval flow facilitates the start operations as users have no need to create a new operation flow.
Start of data linking to the PC-based log monitoring/analysis software, InfoTrace Ver1.6
A new function of AdminITy DETECT is available by linking with InfoTrace Ver 1.6, which enables various searching and collection of PC status logs.
AdminITy, used as the integrated security platform, enables a complete control of "InfoTrace Agent" (the program for transmission of client PC log data to servers) to install on PCs and its operation management such as automatic updates of pre-programmed files, as well as monitoring if "InfoTrace Agent" is constantly renewed.

AdminITy Ver4.5 is compatible with Windows Vista.
