NTT Comware Launches Sales of e-UBF Lock Ver3.0, a Network-Based Fingerprint Access Control System

NTT Comware Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuhji Imai; below, NTT Comware) will launch sales of e-UBF Lock Ver3.0 the fingerprint access control system on September 5, 2007. The sales of e-UBF Lock Smart Kit integrated with e-UBF Lock Ver3.0 will also begin as an affordable and easy-to-use package.
Outline and Features of e-UBF Lock Ver3.0
e-UBF Lock is a fingerprint biometrics system for secure physical access to office buildings and doors, which is comprised of DS-10 the fingerprint scanner and e-UBF Lock Server the secure access control server. Although ID cards are popular for entry-control to office rooms, there are many potential problems related to loss or share of cards for the current security system.e-UBF Lock will ensure biometrics access control to secure facilities with high security information to eliminate such problems as improving the security performance.
e-UBF Lock Ver3.0 achieved higher performance and efficiency in log data control of room or facility access for system managers than the previous versions with more efficient use of the database for e-UBF Lock Server. As the access log data can also be exported to the external database, a high volume of data can also be managed.
