IT Service Management, International Organization for Standard "ISO/IEC20000" Additionally Obtained for Operation Outsourcing Services

NTT Comware Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Michio Sugimoto; below, NTT Comware) obtained a new certificate of IT Service Management "ISO/IEC20000" in March, 2009. This certification was designed based on ITIL(*1).

The new certificates obtained include Customer Services for maintenance and operation of the client systems and Thin Client promotion. With the customer service certification, NTT Comware has "ISO/IEC20000" for all the categories of MSP (*2) services. This additional certification represents the proof by the third party for the services complying with the international standards, as NTT Comware has been making efforts to provide IT services of high quality and high customer satisfaction for the services of client system and network operation and maintenance.
NTT Comware has encouraged the personnel to obtain ITIL foundation/ITIL manager certificates, besides the introduction of ITIL process and "ISO/IEC20000" from the early stage for continuous development and quality improvement of IT Service Management. Not only the increase of the "ISO/IEC20000"certifications but also ITIL V3, a new version of ITIL, will be introduced to achieve further improvement of the quality service and reliability to customers.
