NTT Comware Provides High Functioning Online Workplace Time & Attendance Software "follow (SaaS)"
NTT Comware Corporation (below, NTT Comware, Head office, Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Michio Sugimoto) will launch the service of the high functioning online workplace time and attendance system "follow (SaaS Version (*1))" on October 1, 2010. The request for order will be accepted from September 16, 2010.
With the current strict requirements on corporate governance and compliance as well as shortening working hours, companies need more efficient workplace attendance management systems. NTT Comware's "follow", the workplace time and attendance management solution, has been contributing to the time management and scheduling of workplaces of the customers to meet their needs. The service is based on the package to include not only the functions to apply and approve work shifts and leaves, but also to manage work items and business trip expenses to support a proper way of workplace management.
The new version of "follow (SaaS Version)" has three functions, including "attendance and leave" (basic), "work item quantity management" (option) and "business trip expenses (option). The service is available to make user accounts as the customer needs. Its "mobile" version (option) is accessible from mobile phones to receive applications and authorize the above-mentioned functions. The service is available at a low running cost too, with only a small monthly fee for the number of user accounts (350yen per month for a user, as a basic package). This solution is easy and quick to use as "follow (SaaS)" requires no initial fee thanks to the online system backed by NTT Comwarefs "SmartCloud" (*2), which is managed in the highly reliable national level data center. The customers need no hardware resources such as server.

[Basic Service]"Attendance/Leave"
- The system shows the attendance and leave information of employees using the daily updated data on a real time basis.
- SoftTimeRecorder (*3) is included in the basic function. The employeefs attendance management is available with SoftTimeRecorder, without any time recording device.
- Yearly leave and various leaves may also be managed for its approval and application. The system is also applicable to the new rule of Yearly Leave, enacted April 2010 (the Labor Standard Act), to calculate paid leaves based on a time unit.
- The system record log-on and log-off accessed by the employees, as well as the time attendance they registered in an accurate and proper manner.

"Work Item Count"
- The system is accessible with a simple process to register the work items, which shows how many work items (actions) were done in a project.
- This optional function is for applications and approvals of business trips for one day or layovers. Customerfs business trip expenses may be registered in line with the time, attendance and work items.
- The system is accessible from mobile phones for both application and approval of attendance, leaves, number of work items and business trip expenses.
