NTT Comware Launches Sales of Cloud Type Email Service "SmartCloud Mail"

NTT Comware Corporation Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Michio Sugimoto; below, NTT Comware) will launch the sales of SmartCloud Mail on January 20, 2011. This is one of the services of SmartCloud series, the secure enterprise cloud to visualize security, services and operations required by enterprises for a large volume and secure high performance email service. The service will be available in April.
[Background and Outline of the Service]
Customers need a highly secured business email hosting service that they can access anytime and from anywhere in a competitive business environment with speed, globalization of enterprises and popularization of smartphones and mobile phones. Webmail systems became particularly popular as a start of Cloud services.Under the circumstances, NTT Comware provides a Cloud type high functioned, large volume and secure email service with the operability and functions of the current email client.
[Features of the Service]
- Information security and business continuity management for enterprises
The service includes basic email functions such as antivirus and anti-spam programs for business use, as well as email filtering and archiving. It also enables various email securities with customized security policy settings for various users.
The service is available for 24 hours/365 days with 99.95% of the operating ratio at the data center with the fire resistant and secure system located in Japan. It is also applicable to clients' private network from Intranet to access for safe and secure emailing with the minimum risk of data leakage and impacts from other traffics. - Multilingual and Multi-device Services for Business
The multilingual service is effective for globalization of business. The webmail access is available anytime and anywhere, even from smartphones and tablets in a remote location.
The familiar interface SmartCloud Desktop is also available to use with the webmail service on the thin-client environment with advantages of security and governance. The users will enjoy a new work style with the advanced functions. - Large Volume and High Performance for Business
The service includes a large volume mailbox for up to 10GB per account. The intuitive mailer enables drag and drop and right-click menu options like a regular email client programs. It also includes an advanced data search function including hierarchical management of folders and attachment files. - Maintenance Services for Business
The system administrators may access the menu for various settings including addition and change of accounts, email inbound/outbound logs and security policies from a customer portal on a real time basis.

450yen/account/month (with tax) -- (for a package of 100 accounts or more and 100MB mailbox)** The price is subject to the service conditions including the number of user accounts and size of the mailbox. Initial fee and basic fees are not included.
