EasyDo the Mobile Phone-Based Credit Card Settlement Service Newly Available for Smartphones
NTT Comware Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Michio Sugimoto; below, NTT Comware) will launch the new services of the credit card settlement service using mobile phones "EasyDo" available for smartphones on July 27, 2011.
1. Outline of gEasyDoh
EasyDo is a credit card settlement service for the customers to use their mobile phones with camera by scanning QR Code printed on an application form etc. This service allows the customers to easily complete the payment without handing their credit cards to a third party. Since the start of the service in April 2008, it has been used as a way of the on-the-spot settlement for sales representatives mainly of insurance companies for their customersf premium payment. Credit card settlement related services (e.g. to obtain credit card data, confirmation of credit, sales data transmission) are provided by NTT Comware's management and operation center online through the Internet. This service requires no infrastructure or systems for corporate customers to accept the payment of the customers. The customers are also able to use the service for 24 hours and 365 days only with QR codes.2. Additional Functions as Smartphone Applications
- 1. Mobile Authori (MOBAIRU OHSORI) (Payment with QR Code)
The EasyDo services are now available for all Internet-based terminals with the QR code scanning functions, in addition to conventional mobile phones (i-mode, ez-web, Yahoo! Mobile). It provides more opportunities for various mobile terminals including camera-equipped tablet PCs. Corporate customers may provide their customers with an easy payment system with credit cards regardless of what types of mobile terminals they are using. It is also efficient to manage data as the corporate customers will receive all the reports of use from any terminals in the same manner as the regular service. - 2. Mobile Info (MOBAIRU INFO) (Tracking Functions)
The users may also check the record of use for payment in hand with their smartphones or tablet PCs, just like the regular mobile phones, only by placing their personal information used for the payment when rescanning a QR code.
The two additional functions are included in the standard functions of EasyDo with the basic fee.
3. Future Scenario
EasyDo is a gsimple, secure and convenienth mobile-phone based credit card settlement service to meet the current customer needs.
