NTT Comware Starts MY NUMBER Management Solution for Corporate Users
- Secure and Affordable Solution -
NTT Comware Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Shinobu Umino, hereinafter, NTT Comware) starts the "My Number" management solution (hereinafter, "the Solution") service for corporate users to manage their employees' My Numbers in a secure and affordable way. This is a new IT security solution to protect "My Number", Japan's new social security and tax number system. The service is scheduled to be launched in October 2015, when the "numbers" will actually be issued to individuals.
1. Background
In October 2015, Japan will start the My Number system, which will see social security and taxation numbers assigned to individuals. Government offices will then commence social security and taxation operations with the numbers effective January 2016. Companies have to be line with the new system in a limited time to manage their employees'My Numbers for paperwork purposes and applications to government offices. Furthermore, compared to conventional systems, the My Number system requires higher standards of personal information management. Therefore, companies that do not sufficiently abide by the rules may be deemed to be violating the new law, which could be an enormous social risk. Under the circumstances, there is the need for companies to use appropriate management scheme/ICT solutions to adopt the new requirements, while minimizing the impact on their existing IT systems and costs.2. This cloud solution applies NTT Comware's highly secure ICT system to manage My Numbers in an effective and affordable manner. NTT Comware, with its rich experience in providing personnel/payroll systems for tens of thousands of personnel of corporate users, strongly supports companies in their need to adopt the complicated My Number system.
The following functions are available to manage My Number:
- Registration of employeesfMy Numbers
- Printouts on various formats such as withholding tax records of employees
- Prompt disposal of My Numbers in the system after a certain retention period
- Settings of system administrators
- Management of track records of specific personal information files
(1) Risk management for corporate users
This solution is a means of risk management regarding information security by managing data in NTT Comware's highly secure services in disaster-proof and highly efficient carrier-grade data centers, which allows corporate users to save data to protect their employees' personal information. The personal information can be protected in a highly secure system by setting the thresholds of the data manager for specific personal information.
(2) Minimization of costs
This standalone service is separated from the existing personnel/payroll systems. Corporate users may start using the service at low cost since the files can be exported to csv or pdf formats.
3. Fee
The fee is subject to the number of users under the management system. Please contact us for further information about the fees. (A separate quotation may be proposed for optional services meeting the various needs of corporate users, e.g., system architecting of a specific network or automatic linkage of data with other systems, bulk printing of various forms or courier services, etc.)4.
