NTT COMWARE Wins "IT Special Award (DevOps Award)" with "SmartCloud DevaaS® 2.0"
NTT COMWARE CORPORATION (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Satoshi Kurishima, hereinafter NTT COMWARE) has won the 2018 IT Award *1 of the Japan Institute of Technology with its SmartCloud DevaaS® 2.0 (hereinafter" DevaaS® 2.0"). Its contribution to the wide use and promotion of DevOps in industry in Japan are acknowledged by the "IT Special Award (DevOps Award)".
The IT Award is an IT Association award presented to corporations who undertake "business innovation using IT with high-level technologies". The "IT Special Award (DevOps Award") is for the accomplishments of NTT COMWARE through its incomparable and outstanding features and pioneering technologies in its activities in Japan."DevaaS® 2.0" was released in 2017 as a cloud service for developers to use for Japan's first SoE. The service is widely used by developers as an on-demand cloud service to provide hardware, OS, middleware and various tools required for software development. The efficiency of "DevaaS® 2.0" has been proven to achieve cost reductions of about 10% in system development in NTT COMWARE's in-house development projects.
The service offers various products for more than 30 types of "CI/CD tools" mainly OSS and customer support, "Developer's Portal" for developers to intuitively operate, and "DataSkywalker®", which is seamlessly deployable in various public clouds to allow customers to improve software development efficiency, shorten the release cycle, and encourage them to use DevOps.
NTT COMWARE plans to further expand the functions of "DevaaS® 2.0" by promoting a wide range of DevOps to new customers to contribute to customers' digital transformation.
