Absorption-type merger of DOCOMO Systems, Inc. and organizational revisions
NTT COMWARE CORPORATION (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Masato Kuroiwa; hereinafter "NTT COMWARE") announces that it will absorb DOCOMO Systems, Inc. (hereinafter "DOCOMO Systems") to strengthen its service creation capability and IT strategies to provide innovative services to customers as soon as possible under the medium-term strategy of the New DOCOMO Group.
NTT Comware will make organizational changes related to the merger and to implement the IOWN Initiative.
(1) Method of the merger
An absorption-type merger where NTT COMWARE is the surviving company and DOCOMO Systems is the acquired company.

July 1, 2022
2. Overview of Organizational Revisions
(1) Establishment of new division and department
(i) Establishment of DOCOMO Systems Division
NTT COMWARE will establish a DOCOMO Systems Division, which will underpin the IT of the DOCOMO Group. Under the division, a Cloud Business Department, a DOCOMO IT Systems Department, a IT Security Business Department, and a Strategy Planning Department will be established. The DOCOMO Systems Division will develop and operate software and manage security in an integrated fashion for the service infrastructure supporting DOCOMO's customers and the DOCOMO Group's systems to accelerate digital transformation at the Group and provide the results to customers.
(ii) Establishment of IOWN Business Promotion Department
To accelerate the development of IOWN business, NTT COMWARE will establish an IOWN Business Promotion Department, which will bring together functions related to IOWN under the Network & Cloud Division, to create and enhance OSS* solutions and develop related companies globally in an integrated fashion.
