CUSTOM integrates NTT's customer-service systems and centrally controls information on 60 million telephone subscribers in Japan. The development of this colossal system took seven years to complete by one thousand engineers and produced over 10 million lines of code (operation started in 1994). |

Construction of an integrated personnel payroll system
to support 114 NTT-group companies with 200,000 employees |

On May 2002, the NTT group started "eHuman.Hearts," an integrated personnel payroll system, as part of the restructuring of 114 NTT-group companies with about 200 thousand employees. NTT COMWARE developed this system jointly with NTT BUSINESS ASSOCIE.
We initially planned to develop the new system on our own. However, in consideration of development time and cost, we later decided to build a system based upon an EPR package. We then selected PeopleSoft's package and took on the development work with full cooperation of PeopleSoft. The fruit of this development and collaboration is the Japan's largest integrated personnel payroll system based upon an ERP package. |
